Manuel is an avid traveler whose passion for exploration was ignited at an early age by his adventurous grandparents, who travelled all around the world. With a background in economics and several years of experience working as long-haul cabin crew, Manuel’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. After moving to London, he achieved significant success in the luxury fashion industry. However, in 2015, he decided to leave everything behind to pursue his true calling: travelling through Asia.
For eight years, Manuel immersed himself in the rich cultures of Asia, with a particular focus on India, where he met Anita, which he now considers his second home. During this transformative period, he dedicated himself to studying yoga and
its philosophy with multiple gurus, meditation, mudras, and mantras, gaining profound insights and experiential knowledge.
Today, Manuel is excited to launch his tour business, through which he aims to share his extensive knowledge and deep love for India. His tours promise to offer a mindful journey, inspired by his own travels and studies, providing others with the opportunity to discover the beauty and spiritual richness of India.
Anita Cunha specializes in vegan and ayurvedic cuisines. She started her immersion in vegetarianism followed by veganism several years ago, at the beginning of a path of self-discovery through healthy food. Practicing Yoga and meditation helped Anita in making this immersion more natural. Over the years she developed a growing interest for Ayurveda applied to food and health.
Anita believes that it is possible to gain a better knowledge of our body and mind and to undergo physical, psychological and ideological transformations by changing our eating habits. In her opinion, flavours and smells can also be experienced without animal exploitation, respecting the times, life, and nature. Anita loves travelling and her special passion for India lead her to learn Hindi, both written and spoken. In her view, language, culture, religion and food are strictly linked and it's impossible not to touch all the aspects of a culture when we decide to be a part of it, when we are able to understand the other through his/her habits. Anita's passion for Asian philosophy combined with culinary arts were always present in her studies, both in and out of the kitchen. In 2021 she published her book "Vegan India: My love affair with the land of spices". Anita is currently based in south-west Portugal but she travels to India whenever she can!
